This week, Adam, Anne, Julie and Nadia welcomed Clare when they met at the RSPCA in Chobham.

It was Clare first mission with GoodGym. She is a runner who is not running at the moment, due to injury (does this sound familiar to us?). She is really happy to have found GoodGym as she is keen to combine running to helping the community; and we are delighted that Clare joined us.

We were asked to clear as much as possible the brambles, nettles and other unwelcomed plants around the dogs’s compound. We were only two teams but managed to work through half the area. The teams worked like machines…. We were quite pleased with the result as it made such a difference. Another evening’s work and it will be all done…

We ended the evening with the GoodGym spirit: a run around the field followed by another run round the paddock. It was challenging and great fun.

If you are available, it would be lovely to see you this coming Sunday at Woking Park to support junior parkrun.

Next week we will do more gardening tasks at Woodham Parish Church. We will start running from WWF.

In the meantime, happy running to everyone. 😊
