Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Kingston upon Thames runner
@RBKares make, collect and donate hampers of goodies for care workers in Kingstons many homes and @Goodgym were delighted to be asked to join this lovely festive giving tasks by making a few deliveries. So outfits at the ready cargo bikes borrowed from @RBKingstoncouncil and the trio of Rob Jane and Martelly with the help of ruth loaded up the bikes and off we went. The staff who answered the doors were very grateful for the presents and all had lovely big smiles for us and thanks to RBKares for thinking of them. One delivery was to a Goodgym favourite home in Ditton road where we helped put the lights up, the guys were so pleased to see us perfect end to a fun evening. Thanks for a super Christmas task
RBKares is a charity that connects the kindness and generosity of the community in Kingston-upon-Thames with vulnerable people, Set up during the early days of the pandemic, RBKares focused initially on providing local support to hospital based NHS staff and to care homes, but has since extended its reach to other vulnerable groups including refugees and the homeless
