Little A.R.K.Something a bit different this week – we will be supporting the Little ARK volunteer team with sorting and cutting fabric/materials in preparation for a community sewing project.
At this time of year draught excluders are in great demand and a popular way to retain heat in homes. Little ARK volunteers are very busy creating and sewing from re-purposed fabric which has been donated to support this important cause. They need extra help with cutting materials and if you know how to use a sewing machine there will be other jobs too. No special skills needed as a full briefing and instructions will be provided.
Our session will be indoors. If you wear glasses these would be handy to bring along, but otherwise just come prepared for the weather en route and if you are joining the group run we will be meeting outside The Leather Bottle for a 2-3km run there and return run back after the task. If you prefer to make your own way there we will arrive for 7pm at the task at 81 London Road, Morden, SM4 6HP.
