Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
30 runners clear up Brixton Youth Club and fill planters at Grantham Place Surgery
We had a last minute change of task tonight and so most of the group went to Brixton Youth Club to finish clearing the yard. This was our third visit there and it is now looking very neat and tidy. Howard, the caretaker, was thrilled.
I'm thrilled. Said Howard
We went over warm up drills so that now when we tackle a fast 5 or 10km race, we know how to get all dynamically warmed up and smashing that PB. A nice sprint home along Brixton Road finished the evening. Lovely.
A smaller group, led by James B and the lovely new Wandsworth trainer Ana (Hi Ana!) went to a surgery in Stockwell. We have a new task partnership that we hope to do more with - the Lambeth GP Food Coop. These guys build gardens in surgeries and hospitals across Lambeth for the patients and staff to help out with and enjoy. They had three big planters that needed filling with soil, and fill them they did. Excellent task and Ed, the Coop coordinator said: please pass on our thanks to all.
Please pass on our thanks to all. Said Ed.
The NEW Lambeth task force all went for a drink after to get to know each other and a jolly good time was had by all. HOORAY!
