Another top top evening under the golden glow of Newham's sunset. With conditions essentially a replica of last week, mildly miserable until the afternoon, then a magic couple hours for those who fancied lending their kind hand to the community.
Random Weekly Question "What's your Favourite Event?" gave a nice little insight into how we use our leisure time. Whether at a rock concert, a techno rave, a wool carrying race (he's made that up), celebrating the Dutch Monarch, obstacle races, world music festivals, Notting Hill Carnival, 24 Hour ultra runs, Indie gigs, Edinburgh Fringe, dancing around big stones for winter solstice, a cycle ride into festival or NIght Of The 10k PBs. Don't know if I told you about...May 19th, Parli Hill. 27 Nations. European 10,000m Cup. Free Entry. RAF Typhoon Jet flyover. A bridge over the track. Live DJs. Drummers. Acrobatics. Celebs. Food. Booze. Free. .
Task this week was to continue our simple classic of last week, plus a few other side jobs. That playground is a joy to be in, especially at that calm point in the evening (ie without kids). We all did a stellar job, and put another dent in our formidable mulchy opponent. We'll be back though.
As energy levels were ludicrously high, it was only suitable we nail a paired core session. Not sure I emphasised TWO sets loudly enough. As when when I asked you'll to do the second set there was a few penetrating death stares. All the better for it.
Next week we head over to Cody Dock for some waterside fun. Let's get all hands on deck!
See you beauts then
