Never mind the bollards, what about all the graffiti to paint over in Hanover & Elm Grove?!

But first things first, a warm Goodgym welcome was extended to Tim, joining us for the first time and in other news I completely forgot to congratulate myself on my 250th Good Deed!

We had two tasks tonight with half the group, led by Helena, working with Hanover & Elm Grove ward councillors to blitz all the scribbles that have been daubed over various walls around the ward. And judging from the photos you lot did a great job!

And my group headed off to St James’s Street where we met Diana, owner of Red Roaster cafe who explained to us that a group of businesses have got together and with some council funding are working on sprucing up Brighton’s original high street St James’s Street. So our task tonight was to clean and spray paint the tops of the 48 St James’s boll***s!

This is in preparation for some funky wraps to be put around the edge. Lots of passers-by were interested in what we were doing and I can’t wait to see the finished job.

Tasks complete we headed to Valley Gardens where the new improved layout means we are spoilt for choice for running reps routes. We chose a 400mish lap and alternated between one fast interval and one chatty.

And once again the word is now just a little bit better and we are now just a little bit fitter.

Cllr David Gibson is well on board with Goodgym and comes up with various tasks around the ward to keep us busy & useful.
