Report written by Nadia
Five GoodGymers attended this evening’s task to tidy up some gardens at Saint Saviour’s, Brookwood.
Firstly, a very warm welcome to Claire who joined us on her inaugural mission. It was great to have you join us. We look forward to seeing you again soon and you being part of GoodGym Woking.
Adam, Julie and Claire arrived and cracked on with the task at hand at Saint Saviour’s, Brookwood. Meanwhile, just a few kilometres away at Holy Trinity, Katie and Nadia were wondering where everybody else was 🤣 After some deliberation and thinking they were taking great initiative, Nadia and Katie started some weeding and cleared the front bed in the car park. The mystery of absence continued and really at this point, divine intervention was needed, which came in the form of James a.k.a. Sherlock, who established that Katie Strava had taken her to Holy Trinity rather than Saint Saviour’s. Wayne also did some detective work🕵️♀️ and quickly established after a phone call with Adam that Katie and Nadia were in the wrong location!
So after driving a few kilometres down the road, Katie and Nadia saw the rest of the GoodGymmers and Nick from Saint Saviour’s. Hurrah!
Adam, Julie and Claire had done a fantastic job tidying the front bed, and trimming the long side hedge which was looking sharp Katie and Nadia joined in for the final tasks and a huge wheelie bin was filled showing just how much had been achieved. Another fulfilling task with a great green-fingered bunch.
Just don’t bet on our geography skills…😀
