We've got loads of goodgym runners in the London Marathon this year but there's always us unlucky lot that didn't get in (or just have no intention of running that far!) but you can still very much be a part of the day and make a massive difference to our runners by joining the cheer squad!

The Plan

  • Somerset House (aka the BANNER group) - I'll be your contact for this spot. I'll aim to get there for around 10am to get the banners up and get us a good space. If you want to see the elite women then aim to get there for 11am but come and join us throughout the day.

  • Deptford --> Canary Wharf (aka the FLAG group) - Stephen Corry will be in charge at Deptford from around 8am and then be moving on to Canary Wharf. There will likely be groups on both sides of the road - either in front of KFC or the Black Horse. Stephen will lead you all to Canary Wharf should you wish to carry on the cheering extravaganza and of course feel free to join the banner group too

  • Temple Brew House, WC2R 3JF (aka the MEDAL group) - There's an area booked from 6pm at this pub near the Strand. See you all there!

From experience coming out to cheer for the marathon runners is a hugely enjoyable experience (fingers crossed for good weather) and given all the crap going on in the world at the moment it's really just a moment to refresh your belief in humanity!

All our runners and riders are here - you can download the London Marathon app and track everyone - look out for a more polished version landing on the unoffical facebook group before Sunday!

What to look out for

Age Restriction

GoodGym welcomes anyone aged 18 or over. If you are under 18 then you will be unable to participate in any GoodGym activity

Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety when running and at a task.

This event is organised by your Taskforce, a group of experienced GoodGym members in your area, they are not responsible for your safety. You should feel confident to participate in the event as it is described and you do so at your own risk.
