Normal November filtration continues, few less than usual, a battle-hardened thirteen danced through the baltic air last night.
But first we welcomed Liz, on her first ever session, hopefully much more to come. We skimmed over your weekend exploits, with a local parkrun ticked off by a few, a 10k pb for Rosa (amazing work) and James' first XC race (he nailed it). Swiftly into our RWQ not wasting anytime under the cold night "Tell us your fashion faux pas?" Follicle based priors in the form of cornrows and dodgy highlights. Farmer's footwear on a night out, wellies for clubbing - yeah! why not? The blink 182 look for the pensive and moody teen skater. Bandana sporting fourteen year olds think they're proper 'ard (me). Huge sweeping flares, massive army/camo jackets, purple dungarees, Jenny from the block imitations....and my personal favourite - 'just' wearing socks in the office.
Arrived at the school with plenty of time to spare. Paul wisely using our numbers on a task where it would count. Emptying shelves and moving them from the community centre/north wing into the bin area and one into the school. Required some smart team work, as they were weighty and awkward, obviously child's play for you guys. Few of the guys were put to work inside, though am not sure exactly what on! Seemed like it was wrapped up quick to be fair.
Good work gang, and nice crisp dinner with y'all after. Quick reminder next week there is a tree planting mission in redbridge, sign up here. Or the week after in Beckton Park, sign up here for the parkun takeover and here for the tree planting. See you there, season best attempts please.
Have a great weekend, train hard though the brisk wet days, it's the only remedy...
Till next week
