St Mary's Allotment, in Plaistow have asked for our help with dismantling and old shed and fence that have become unsafe to use.
St Mary's Allotment has been growing food for families locally since 1906. They have recently been working to maintain this history of gardening with the restoration of their cabin and community areas. 3 local schools and 2 elderly residences, food banks and community kitchens will all benefit from the updating of this fabulous community asset, whilst the biodiversity of wildlife and soil will be nurtured for years to come.
If you're new to GoodGym or to our group in Newham, we meet in the courtyard of the Print House - just look out for anyone in a red t-shirt and come and say hello. We love to meet new people! You're welcome to run at whatever pace you feel comfortable and there are always back markers to make sure no one is left behind.
There are toilets at the Print House, but limited bag drop facilities.
You're also welcome to meet us at the task - we should be there by 7:15 and the address is:
St Mary's Allotment Gardens Queen's Rd W E13 0PE
