What a bunch of absolute superstars the Ealing Goodgymers are! It may have been freezing out there but they still showed up, walked/ran to the task and put their backs into helping Cultivate London with their urban gardening project. Tonight, we were at a school in Acton collecting a mix of soil, mulch and leaves that Cultivate can use as fertiliser and top soil - nothing goes to waste in this place! We shovelled and we filled up sacks, buckets and bin bags with nature's freebies. This stuff will be put to good use!
Cultivate London is a charity that provides horticultural services using sustainable, organic and biodiverse methods. They work with communities, businesses and local government to create and maintain enjoyable and sustainable urban green spaces and give local people the opportunity to learn and engage in food growing.
