Monday 16th December
Report written by Kash
At tonight's Ealing Soup Kitchen, Sevan and Kash traditionally assumed their positions at the mens and womens clothing sections respectively. The winter season meant the clients were choosing warm outfits: coats, hoodies, cardigans and thick socks.
This time the volunteers cleverly started the tidy-up before packing the clothes and folding the tables. Result? The floor was swept ahead of schedule and everyone could wrap up earlier.
The Christmas spirit must have been around as Emma played Santa and gifted the volunteers the Ealing Soup Kitchen branded mugs - such a lovely present to remind us about the good things we do with the charity!
Ealing Soup Kitchen is a registered charity set up to help the vulnerable and homeless in the area. Nine local churches support our faith-based Soup Kitchen, which has been running since 1973.
