Another new task for the Cardiff Goodgym group this Winter, as we take the challenge and write 'Card's for Care Homes'. Michael had brought along plenty of Charity cards that supported;

Bupa care homes had asked for the public to write a Christmas Card and send it in this year to the staff and residents, so we decided to take on the task. Changing the goodgym model tonight, we took to the streets from our meeting point to run a 4km route created by Michael before stopping off at a local night cafe where we could get warm and comfortable, grab a hot drink and cake (optional), and start writing in our Charity cards.

9 goodgymers were ready for this task, with Michelle unable to run and meeting us at the cafe whilst the rest of us took to the streets to get in some exercise. It was a lovely run around the quieter streets that Michael could think of, over the Smart bridge and then around the bay out of the way of the City Centre.

After a nice 4km it was a welcome warmth in The Little Man Coffee Shop and delicious cake and coffee. Michael put out the cards and pens (only just bought as they may have been forgotten - Whoops) ready for the writing to begin. After discussions about what to write, and even some calligraphy practising, we began.

Let's Get Scribbling

As the time went on Andrew and Marie started to get a bit adventurous with some added pictures in the cards, and this was soon followed by Martin. Whilst Michelle was busy online trying to make each card message individual (at least from them).

54 cards later and it was time to pack up, carefully, and head out to the Christmas Market.

This is one that I am sure will make an appearance again next year.
