HAPPY BIRTHDAY GOODGYM - 10 YEARS OLD
OUR GROUP RUN
Tonight we headed to the RSPCA for our group run task. The weather was on our side as our task tonight was to be outdoors.
We headed out with James leading the way with the GG flag on our 1km warm up. Tools were ready for arrival and our task tonight was BRAMBLES!!!! and plenty of them! Around the horse paddock along the fence was full of brambles to be cleared. We got to work with James in Scissor Hands mode and everyone else scared that they might not make it our alive. Everyone played there part with Leo doing a grand job on the rake and Claud taking control of the pitch fork.... it was like a scene out of a horror movie! Adam looked like he was on a mission and every time I saw him he was busy filling up his bucket and then taking it off to empty. Everyone did such a great job and what a difference it made, with one side totally cleared, we are so going back for the sequel of the bramble horror movie. Everyone managed to come out with all their fingers and with no one receiving a free hair cut.
At the end of a hard working task there is no better way to finish than with homemade fresh warm cake, made withe blackberries from the allotment - a big thank you to Rebecca who even brought alternatives for vegan/gluten free members. A very thoughtful gesture!
Next week we will be back at the RSPCA and afterwards if anyone is keen for some drinks then we will head somewhere. Please sign up, I will update the task.
