First day of the year and 3 goodgymers braved the stormy winter weather to meet at 4pm and help at The Salvation Army Hall for the ESK Monday night take away service. No sunshine when it rains : the heavens opened so when sorting and laying the clothing section, found loads of water Steph Ducat and trousers) to be given out. Emmanuella sorting the ladies section including shoes, and she found a sole mate to help her. Madhan sorting the men's section and found the perfect trousers for him 👌 As no deliveries today, once the clothes were sorted the team prepared snack bags with the limited items available(snack bars, drinks, crisps) and cut pieces of cake to bag them individually. Vegetable curry was delivered by local restaurant Nepal to be given out from 6pm. Today was much quieter than usual and the team had a toast to the New Year with some tea and biscuits 😋
