Catton parkrun # 298 - 08/06/2019

This mornings first Goodgym Norwich Mission of the day was cold, wet under foot/ wheel and windy but we just avoided the rain! โ˜” but that didn't stop us from volunteering at Catton Parkrun number 298 ๐Ÿ˜

There were 25 Volunteers today and 372 who took on the 5k course.

As GoodGym community mission volunteers we marshaled the course, barcode scanned and tried not to get blown away!

There was a couple of fundraisers going on at Catton today. One of which saw 16 Year old Lauren Saphir navigate the uneven, hilly and wet Catton course in her wheelchair, along with other young people running from SYEP (Sprowston Youth Engagement Project) to raise Money for a charity called Dream Flights. The charity was chosen by Lauren and young volunteers. What an inspiration! ๐Ÿ˜‡ If you would like to donate, please email Claire Lincoln: clyouthworker@outlook.com

A few of us then went over to Sprowston Library for our 2nd community mission of the day to help at the new sensory garden ๐ŸŒธ

How to get involved in Catton Parkrun Volunteering : You can see an event's future volunteer roster via their specific future roster page. To get in touch with the event directly, just send an email to cattonhelpers@parkrun.com

Well done to all ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿ‘
