Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
A New start to A New Year for the 12 brave souls who ventured out on this very cold and frosty night for a nice flat 8k run back to The Nest Project to help them get organised before they reopen and start receiving more donations.
A warm welcome to Dora for her first group run with Goodgym Bath, so with headcount done and dusted and We'll done to everyone who managed to get out there hitting the roads and trails during the last 2 weeks. If your not in strava now is a good time to get connected.
The run out was used to get us warmed up and steady it was to avoid any icy patches, some squats and lunges at various points to regroup and ensure those gluteus stay nice and strong. Tonight's task was indoors ( big bonus for us) keeping nice and warm.
Pip was there to greet us and after a short film explaining what THE NEST PROJECT is all about, she had everyone working hard from cleaning toys and sorting baby clothes to checking over cots and the various bits needed to put them together. Working, chatting and having fun for a full 30 minutes. Then that all important group photo before heading back to base.
Steve scouted us through the icy conditions and thankfully we all stayed upright ( unlike the ice skating ) no names will be disclosed.
Thanks Rosie for back marking and Steve for tonight's pun.
Great run with a great group of lovely people, Thanks again everyone
If you know anyone who would benefit from some free Baby clothes or equipment, please tell them about this great place. http://thenestproject.co.uk
