After Tuesday's rained off Group Run to help Cultivate, Kash, Madhan and Sevan made their own ways to the plant nursery to see what help was needed today. We met Romina and for the first time, her colleague Auberon and they explained that we'd be working on the potted plants.

Today was Kash's first group task since she hit 400 Good Deeds 💯💯💯💯. As we didn't have the official GoodGym Ealing "400 couture", we had to make do with some A5 paper and marker pens. Kash's awesome achievement deserved way more than the DIY sign.

We started the task by weeding pots before Kash was promoted to the role of fern spotter. The ferns were the first step in grouping similar plants on pallets, with grasses being next up. Along the way, anything that wasn't worth saving was piled onto 2 trolleys and the team had fun wheeling them to the checkout and flinging their "shopping" into the Cultivate skip 🛒🛒.

The last plants that were moved were a group of shrubs that had started to reach out and merge their branches together. Under the pots too, the roots had made a break for it and bedded themselves into the soil underneath. All 5 of the team worked to untangle them and remove the beards from the pots, with Madhan channelling his inner hipster barber with a pair of secateurs while the others ripped away at them ✂️.

By the end of the task, we'd managed to organise pallets full of plants ready for Cultivate's and an extra bonus was that we hadn't been drenched.
