Four Goodgymers (Elizabeth, David, Mel & Michael) met task manager and Mousehold warden, Will Stewart.

Will got stuck in and led us on a short socially distanced trail run through the woods to our mission today ๐ŸŒฟ

As per the last task at Mousehold Heath, we were again pulling and clearing bracken, but in a different location of the heath. We were surrounded by beautiful blue/purple heather, which Will explained is one of the only sources of nectar for the bees at this time of year. David and I had a couple buzzing around ours heads the whole time! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ We got stuck in pulling out the Bracken from between the heather. Whilst working, Will went on to tell us that the bracken, in times past, would have been managed by large grazing animals. We are nearly at the end of the Bracken management season and it's starting to go brown, but Will explained that by pulling more now it makes it weaker and less prevalent when it grows back next year ๐Ÿ˜Š

โค๏ธ Congratulations to David on his 50th good deed with Goodgym โค๏ธ

We even had another little mission when we got back to the car park - trying to open the boot of Elizabeth's car! ๐Ÿ˜‚
