A rainy Sunday morning rise for Laura, Mel, Maura, and Judy to tackle the litter amongst the bushes on Milton common which needed the GG treatment! The rain didn’t dampen our spirits though! We met at the eastern road car park and walked south - it didn’t look like there was much litter to pick on the first section but the small items kept us busy! Cigarette butts, plastic wrappers, wet wipes, nitrous oxide canisters etc. Further down the path to the common and there was the goldmine of litter, particularly around a park bench and wooded area which must have been the centre of a few parties recently! Lots of cans and bottles which kept us busy and quickly filled our bags including a huge bag of recycling. A satisfying morning of litter picking and making the area a little brighter!
