WOKING GOODGYM

Well Done and Good lucks

  • A massive well done to Adam who completed the Greenman Ultra 45 mile Race... in one of the hottest weekends of the year!
  • A good luck to Owen who is taking part in a 10 mile running race this weekend.
  • Good luck to Wayne who is competing in the Nuts Challenge this week. A race of mud and obstacles... if you didn't sign up this time, don't worry there is always the Winter nuts next year!!

LAST NIGHT

Last night's group run headed to the GG allotment. It was nice to see Abi or youngest GG Member back from her summer holidays. Also Mark was back for another week, clearly he has aged after a month away as he was moaning about suffering with getting back to running again!

Even though the allotment has been neglected for a few weeks it was great to see it hadn't let us down. With plenty of Runner beans, Cucumbers, Rhubarb and potatoes to go around. I can see Sally- Anne was busy in the kitchen last night with her dinner, dessert and breakfast all sorted. The apple and rhubarb crumble sounded yum!!

To prepare the crops for the winter we had new plants to go into the ground, Broccoli, Cauliflower and curly Kale all covered in a lovely netted structure to keep away any unwanted prey. We also pulled up more weeds, the one plant we are clearly experts in growing!

A big well done to everyone who helped out - great effort by all!

NEXT WEEK

We are meeting at WWF and will be running to Brockhill Care Home!
