This afternoon I thought I'd go for another gentle run, carrying on litter picking from where I'd had to stop the other day when my bag got too full. Even though I'd taken a bigger bag this time, it still got too heavy and full for me to complete the route into the neighbouring village. I did as much as I could then heaved the heavy sack along the road until I found a rubbish bin to leave it in. I then continued my run and saw a face mask hanging on a post by the stream running though some beautiful water meadows where horses graze. I managed to retrieve it with my litter picker and ran with it until I got back to our vilLahr and found another bin! Despite all this litter spoiling the environment I was cheered up at the sight of the first clump of snowdrops in our churchyard.
