So Mulch To Do.. 🏃🏼‍♂️

Last nights task spread mulch along the Woking Park Run course to make it safe for runners and and public.

8 GG Woking members met at Woking Park, We welcomed Eddie to his first Wednesday evening task. We were also joined by members of another local running club to assist us with this task Big Rich AKA R41 andLiviu who are regular runners at the Park run.

We all met at the entrance to the leisure centre and then headed off to the Pavilion on the green where we were informed the council had left us wheelbarrows and shovels amongst other equipment that we needed to carry out the task. James had earlier collected the keys for the Pavilion from the WBC Council offices.

Once in we managed to find the tools and then headed off the skate ramps by the woods Eddie who was nursing an injury was pushed along in a wheel barrow by Wayne, 😄once we got to the skate park we saw the huge pile of steaming warm mulch ♨️ that the council had dropped off for us.

We all started to pile in and filled up the wheel barrows as well as the many buckets that we had, the first load we took into the woods this was a muddy part of the park run course which required plenty of mulch to be spread around to make it safe.

We worked in Pairs With Anne & Katie with buckets Wayne & Eddie with wheelbarrows, Adam and James on buckets and Big Rich & Liviu with wheelbarrows.

We managed to do plenty of loads and James was fantastic at spreading. Big Rich also carried out some tree surgery along the course.

The team all did great and we will be back to finish this task on another night so look out for it on the GG Page.
