Christmas Eve did bring together five travelers from afar - Christmas Kash, Happy Harvey, Merry Madhan, (the feast of) St Sevan and Santa Stephane - in the name of fair jubilation and merriment this festive season. Though their bones were weary from so many missions this last twelve months, music did play, a sprightly jig was observed, brightly garish garments did adorn the aforementioned cohort and spirits rose (of the non-alcoholic kind only). There was a feast to be prepared for, with lavish garnishing of folding tables, gifts of the season to show appreciation and kindness for the fair care-experienced young people of this parish, and a fierce furnace (not yet plugged in, thankfully) to be balanced hither on yonder trolley. The children are our future (to quote the famous strain) and we invest in them our hopes and wishes for lives yet to spend this 25 December (as well as some slap-up tucker and a laugh with their sistren and brethren). Thanks was given and all swore an oath to come back next year and do it all over again! And so, as Tiny Tim said, 'A Merry Christmas to us all!'.
