Report written by Anastasia Hancock (she/her)
Finally summer has arrived! We celebrated with a lovely run, some heavy lifting, a conditioning session and two new furry GoodGymers....
The evening started with a round up of the news. Here's the down low down of all things GoodGym:
We've got an aid station at the British 10K on Sunday 21st July from 7.30am - volunteers get a free place for the Oxford Half, Hackney Half or the next London 10K. Sign up here
GoodGym is doing a takeover for Fulham Palace's 300th run on Saturday and there are still some roles to be filled. Can you help? Here are all the details
Fancy a casual 10k run this Sunday? Free? From Chiswick Bridge? Then look no further

Excitement levels were particularly high last night as were joined by GG doggos! First we put them through their paces with our warm up - great fast feet, not so good at the lunges. After getting our heart rates up we set off, but not before our weekly survey. What is your favourite object in your house? Bed, fridge, passport, herbs, car keys were all essentials.
We took a pawfectly steady run down to the school to find more GGers waiting for us, and got straight into tackling the job of the evening, which was to shift concrete slabs as we continue to sort out the wildlife and pond area at the school. Move a few concrete slabs? Easy. Or so we thought. It was actually pretty ruff. Turns out it takes some serious work to prise them out, and even more upper body strength to transport them. But we were up to the task, and while Chester and Mable watched, the path was slowly dismantled. Great work team.
It might sound far-fetched, but that wasn't enough of an arm workout we trotted off to Chiswick House to do some conditioning, this week featuring glute bridges, single leg squats, back extensions and various planks. Fur real.
Next week we're off to wash the mural at Turnham Green - sign up here. Happy running GoodGym Hounslow!
