Friday Hub at Ealing Soup Kitchen. StephDucat was already onsite and was ready for the 1pm service. Jo from Goodgym Lambeth joined the team in Ealing as working morning in the area. Jo was assigned to the clothing section doing some queue management when it opened at 1pm. Steph plating the meals with Marie and Sabbah the chef. Hot stuff on the menu 😋 🔥🔥🔥 . Did you say hot 🔥? Yes!! Chilli Con carne with some lovely rice, some steamed broccoli 🥦 and mixed salad. Meaty and veggie chilli con carne. We had to bring the hotness done a tone as Angela said too hot for the guests, so we did that and the guests got a mild chilli. For desserts, the guests had a choice of apple struddle with custard or oven cooked peaches 🍑 with custard. Busy shift and then the takeaway service started with dishes of the day but also some freshly made sandwiches, bananas and some cupcakes. We had some chicken too to hand out.Jo came to help with the washing of pots in the kitchen and stayed for the following shift the team for the cleaning and packing.
