Monday ESK takeaway service with a twist and fireworks 🎆 .

Steph arrived with his mountain bike 🚵‍♂️ and was early as usual...stop speeding 📷 🚔. ,. A few ESK volunteers arrived at the same time, and Emma just pulled up with her car 🚗 full of items for today's menu. We all unloaded the items, and then Marvin from City Harvest London arrived with many crates ...let's put everything in. Another Ealing goodgymer, Joanna arrived and jumped on to help.

I introduced Joanna to Emma and the team. Then we all cracked on as we all were assigned tasks based on the volunteers present. Joanna started with the clothing section, followed by preparation of takeaway bags.

Here is the twist : this Monday no cooked food, but the team to cook as they do this once a month. As Gordon Ramsay, Gino D'Acampo and Fred Serieix had a preference of doing their Road Trip show instead of helping out at Ealing Soup Kitchen, Rebecca(Ealing Soup Kitchen Volunteer) and Steph(Goodgym) were then assigned to be Master Chefs and prepare 130 takeaway meals. Challenge accepted and we would be known or pretend to be Nigella Lawson and Heston Blumenthal. Menu was Tomato Tuna Pasta with cheese and Tomato pasta with cheese. All needed to be ready for 6PM for takeaway. That was alot of pasta to cook and maths were involved in order to get the 130portions. Big bang theory 👌. The 2 Chefs 👨‍🍳 were on top of it and ready for the 6pm takeaway...not to mention that we didnot call Sheldon for the dosages.....we were spot on and did exactly 130portions in total despite having different size pots and pans. Just before the opening for food and clothes collection, we had fireworks 🎆 in the main space...what's going on? It was Simone's birthday so 🎂 it is with candles and fireworks 🎆. We all had a quick piece of the lovely cake then time to open. Joanna stayed to help in the clothing section and Steph stayed in the kitchen. Then 2 goodgymers appeared for the 2nd shift : Kash(Ealing) and Divya(Hammersmith & Fulham). All for 1, 1 for all ....4 Musketeers. We all stayed to the end to ensure a smooth service, tidy up, put everything away and clean pots 🤣🤣. Great success 🙌.
