Everything gets picked up on our watch
6 GoodGymers made their way to help the Woodthorpe Community Group in York.

Woodthorpe York Community Group are always lucky to have a nice weather for their events and today was no different. We arrived towards the end of the summer fair to help with making the area clean and folding some gazebos. An unusual item found during the litterpick nominated for a special mention in the report was a plastic banana toy. Folding of the gazebos side of task taught us about the various security pins and buttons that one has to press or pull for the gazebo to fold. We did not have time for the hook a duck and the like, but stopped at the local Police stall for a team photo wearing various hats, high vis jackets and shields. Stall holders and event organisers were very grateful for our help and we had nice time chatting, so a successful afternoon overall.
