Felt lovely to be reunited on our old stomping ground just a "stones" throw from our weekly meeting point.
The lovely Jan from Friends of Turnham Green welcomed us back, not quite with open arms due to social distancing but a lovely welcome never the less! We were all dressed up and ready to grow!
We were split into 2 small groups to clean up the rockery at Turnham Green, It involved lots of litter picking, weeding and thistle pulling, It was "trowel and error" for a few of us but its "just one of rose things" Jen and Andy were stuck between a rock and a hard place a few times but they didn't "moss around" Its just a day in the leaf of a goodgym runner! ( Ok i will stop with the puns now)
Whilst we were bringing the rockery back to life our resident canine Watson made a new friend for life and discovered a love of strawberries. Litter picking being his strong point although eating the rubbish is a serious commitment.
Its amazing what you can achieve in such little time when you "pull" together as a team!
The only thing missing from this wonderful Wednesday was the legendary fitness session from Ana that we have loved to hate but miss dearly!
Afterwards it was time to make like a tree an leaf!
