Mild march vibes as we headed down to our dockland mates yesterday. Simon, Hils and I spoke about Russia-Ukraine, and the run seemed to flash by. Brad, Sharon and Kev met us at Cody Dock. Basia showed us around, we looked at the excavation of the docks and where the new bridge is going to be built. Huge amounts of regeneration happening there, very interested to see the finished project, or will it ever finish?
We were asked to dig out the outer section of the sensory garden. Carefully removing some mature lavender and replanting it. Also digging-out some ornamental grass and normal grass, not to be conflated, keep the former, bin the latter, not all grass is equal.
Not the easiest of jobs, digging, shovelling and carrying mounds of soil. I think we can lay claim to have done a pretty competent job. Nice work all, enabling the new civil engineering project of the rolling bridge to go ahead.
Still awaiting confirmation of next week's task at Newham Hospital, if not a goer I'll list something else by end of week. Maybe Basia will have us twice in a month after all...
Nice one, you guys have a great weekend and get training for Amsterdam!
Till next week
