Today, along with three fellow GoodGymmers I went to SGM to help with the delivery of items to the church. This was my first visit to the church to help since April 2022.
Alongside other willing volunteers, we set out unloading and sorting the varied range of items delivered, including a large number of vegetables including broccoli, tomatoes, cabbages and herbs.
Marshalled by team leader Bryan we successfully managed to sort and stock all the items ready for the supermarket.
This task supported
The food cooperative provides members with low cost food to help reduce food bills and tackle food insecurity. It also reuses surplus food to prevent food being thrown away.
