During the night the rain poured down and many fingers were crossed hoping it wasn’t too wet for Parkrun to go ahead. No need to worry, come 8.30 Marshall arrival time it was dry and a lovely sky, and by the end the sun was out (see photos) Wellies were definitely the best footwear for those of us standing in the long grass and leaves. #19 Lea Bridges junior parkrun saw 13 hardy juniors run a soggy course, most in good spirits. 2 youngsters past me in tears , 1 past me with a “stitch” but by the time they past me the second time they were smiling, could be because they were on the home stretch, up the small hill into the finish funnel. Lots of encouragement was needed for that final push, luckily as a Goodgymer, I’m good at that. As always this time of year, the roster for volunteering is a little thin, so if you are able to give up a little time first thing on a Sunday morning 08. 30 till approx 09.30 ( I’m usually home well before 10 and I live near Norwich airport) please please go on the website and sign up, you won’t regret it, it’s lovely seeing the little ones running. Once you’ve sign up for Parkrun don’t forget to sign in to Goodgym mission and add your name on the Mission to claim your extra 🏃‍♀️ 🏃
