Professor K, a.k.a. The Modern Prometheus, was working on his new unorthodox scientific experiment. His goal was to assemble and bring to life a sapient creature that could go shopping for him. In his endeavour to create life out of ingredients from the Waitrose meat section, he sent Kash on a shopping mission to deliver pork chops, chicken wings, fish fingers and lamb chops.
Pork was chosen as a base for creating the hybrid as pigs are known for their impressive memory, cognitive and problem-solving skills. No other animal with such intelligence could be found in the chilled section in British supermarkets. Chicken wings were selected to give Professor K's creation the ability to fly. The Professor was well aware that chickens are not famous for their flying skills, but again, what else was available locally? Fish fingers were supposed to bring the fish DNA into the mixture, just in case the creature would need to swim somewhere. West Ealing is relatively far from rivers and canals, but why an experimenting scientist would limit his imagination? Finally, lamb chops were on the shopping list to embed the characteristics of sheep known for their excellent peripheral vision into Professor K's fantastic beast.
Kash found all the ingredients in Waitrose and, apart from the meat, bought a good amount of fruit and vegetables for Professor K. The bill was £30, bang on budget! Kash delivered the goods and left a little bit worried that a revived flying pig with fish DNA and sheep eyes would soon take her shopping job.
