Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

Share the love

This weeks run was a short 2k back to Manvers Baptist church to continue painting for our host Peter. 11 brave Goodgymers turned up in what can only be described as a BARNEY night but lady luck was on our side and the rain held off so we could finish what we started

The bad weather didn`t stop 3 lovely newbies from coming to Goodgym Bath, A very warm welcome to Anne, Charlotte and Rachel ( who is visiting Bath) and I have to say they made light work of their first Goodgym run.

We made our way out from the leisure centre to get those limbs warmed up and flexible cause we soon felt the need for speed
Taking in the beauty of Bath weir the group did a loop back to scoop up the back and re group, the wide pavements made it a great place to do some 100 meter sprints can we do some more please not being one to disappoint I gave in. As we came around the corner into Pultney road and to the roundabout where we believe doing squats reps is a good place to advertise Goodgym or cause a pile up. The wind and leaves whipped up and for a moment I felt like Dorothy in the wizard of Oz. A few more high knee drills to get back together again before the final spurt past the Police station to the church where Peter was waiting patiently for us armed with that Hammerite.

The short run here gave us the opportunity to devote more time to the task and it was noted we only had one man by the name of Sam with us tonight, HENCE THE PUN. Splitting into groups to ensure we did not paint each other the group finished the side rails and made way onto the corner, with Pascale and team tackling the last section with wire brushes for another visit and once Peter said if you can come on a Saturday you will get mince pies, so keep your eyes peeled as clementine said.

A light shower came so we decided it was a good time to stop play and with the promise to return very soon to continue our Good work, we bid farewell to Peter and his very complimentary congregation to make the short run back to the leisure centre for some Yoga based stretches.

Great job done tonight feel proud do good and get fit

Don't forget if you want to get paired up or take part in one off missions ask Steph for more details.

Look forward to seeing you all next week
