This morning Anne and I ran 7k before the volunteering which was really good for both of us to push each other, even if it was very wet and muddy.. hence the trainers image. It was quiet out and with a little debating as to if we should make it a little longer we decided as Anne had done a bootcamp on Friday that we would cut it slightly short of 8k and head to the park. James, who 'didn't get the message about the run' rocked up - no short shorts, but jeans and then saw our invite of a run before! Lots of newbies this morning and lots of nervous looks the parkrun set off, with me waiting to barcode scan, (and break the news to the kids with no barcode printed that they could not get it registered...) Anne and James were on the course trying to keep slightly dry from all the puddles and help diverting the kids around the puddles. With over 140 kids this morning it was busy and James decided that it was time for his well earned MacD, with Anne happy to go and enjoy her Coffee, I did not join and decided to walk up the hill with them and run back. Next week Anne and I are not able to make it, but they are very happy to have more volunteers from Goodgym any Sunday you can go!
