For the last mission of the day, we ran from Shepherds Bush to South Ealing and arrived early, which we weren't expecting. Luckily we found a friendly cat near Ms C's house to entertain us before we walked up to her front door. This week, we didn't even need to ring the bell, Ms C opened the door and exclaimed "see, I can be on time!".

Once in the back garden, we had our regular list of weeding and trimming bushes to attend to. Kash and I split again, working to the strengths of our relative heights, Kash weeding and I trimming the last tall rose Bush. There were some tall stems that still had flowers on them, so those I left those and trimmed the rest of the bush back to a manageable height.

I joined Kash weeding and we managed to clear a patch close to the house, including removing a new rose plant that had actually shot out under the earth from a larger bush. Ms C decided to put us in more peril of being spiked by also asking us to remove a small holly Bush, which it turned out was coming from a large root underground, probably from her neighbours.

As we finished up the weeding, Ms C asked us to water her parched garden. As it was the last mission of the day, we agreed and ferried bottles and buckets back and forward from the kitchen while Ms C directed us.

We took the garden waste out front, said our goodbyes and strolled home in the sunshine. The cat we met on the way in didn't come to say goodbye. It probably found some less sweaty, grimy humans to give it some love.
