A nice flat 7k run out to help Evan at Action on Hearing Loss for our fab 15 keen bean runners. We are very lucky to have Pascale who is a sign interpreter to communicate with our host Evan tonight, so big cheer for Pascale... whoop !!

Welcome to Sam joining us for his first taste of Goodgym during the group warm up with Emily bagging a lovely pair of red laces for bringing him along. No races at the weekend but lots are hard at it training for Bath Half Marathon in a few weeks. We even had a sign lesson to say "Hello" and "Thank you" so we could all greet Evan.

Pascale led the group out tonight with Steph back marking. We took advantage of some drill work to regroup before pacing it out to our task destination. Our wonderful host Evan was eagerly waiting the groups arrival and after some signing between Pascale and Evan it became very clear what was needing done in the centres vast gardens, first job was to collect the tools needed for the job and then splitting into groups they were hard at it weeding the many flower beds, a few runners were unsure of identifying a weed.. ha!! No names will be mentioned 😊.

A full on 30 minutes spent weeding, clearing some remaining leaves and shuttling to the compost bins (Rosie was quite competitive with the wheel Barrow) and with just 4 minutes left to return everything to the shed and grab our group photo for some much deserved publicity for this wonderful centre.

Evan signed his appreciation to the everyone, also telling us how fit we are and I don't think he meant in the looks department.

A final burst of energy back to the leisure centre for a stretch and social reminder
