Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Madhan
I and Ms.A's son both reached the house at the same time. Let's call Ms.A's son as Jack for this report.
Jack brought the tools needed to trim the garden. There was a shiny new saw waiting to be ripped open. However I went with sheath as that looked like the tool for the job.
The garden looked like a forest as there was lot to do. Jack acknowledged that and we were trying to come up with a plan to do what we can in the given time.
Soon after Tash, a volunteer from befriending service, joined us. She was befriending Ms.A For quite some time now.
So I started chopping down leaves, Ivy and every other thing I saw. Found a mini football and quite a lot of shoes which belonged to Jack's father.
Jack and Tash were raking the leaves and unearthing the patio. Soon we got a goal on our hands. Clear the patio and let the sunlight through and make Ms.A enjoy the nice summer ahead.
Jack suggested to cut down some branches to make the view clear for sunlight. The branches seemed bit high. I tried to climb the glass table which was there. Tash asked whether I'm insured by Good Gym and suggested it will be risky. Jack soon went inside and got a ladder. Then it made the sawing easier, the shiny new saw served it's purpose.
We saw sunlight hitting right in our faces. Jack already felt like the mission was complete.
Meanwhile Tash managed to collect 5 bags worth of leaves and garden waste.
As the mission time was nearing the end Tash and I decided to collect all the leaves and branches and bag them. As the branches I cut were too big I was chopping them into bite sized bits to make it easier to bag.
Though 3 persons worked on this we only managed to cover 15% of whole garden(forest). Would definitely go back if this mission was listed again.
