We went back for our 2nd visit to Hilsea Lido today and continued the great work from last week. Keeping a safe distance, Catherine and Lynn, Katie and Paul were all wrestling with ivy and brambles in different places. Paul a Lido Trust volunteer wanted to clear the way to get one of the gates opened again and open up a strip of land behind the main building. Duncan went solo to bag leaves and small bits of tree debris at the far end of the Lido, whilst India and Mel did the same along the back fence, overlooking the footpath. The wind didn't help, but we managed to get most of it into the black bags! Unfortunately the weather was very different to last week with some light rain on arrival, but quickly moving on to let some sun through. Mrs Puddleduck and family were happily swimming around in the pool and the ducklings are now nearly as big as Mum! After a lovely warm drink to end the session and a distanced chat in the warm, we all departed with many thanks from the Lido Trust for our hard labour and for saving them many hours of work!
