Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

Hardly had the royal cry echoed throughout the land before five valiant GoodGymers, clad in their clan colour red, assembled to answer. As the torrents fell from the sky, Nathan-the-Litterpicker, Mickey of the Highpane, Lucy the Hearth-provider, Aimee the Meticulous, and Jack the Punless, gathered to make haste to the STAR Hub.

They said farewell to warmth and Rhian, Lucy’s roommate and soon to be GoodGymmer (they were assured), and darted into the downpour. Pursuing at a steady pace, undeterred by the wild elements that thrashed them this way and that, they soon came upon the Hub where bales of soapy water, squeegee, and dirty pane awaited. The dilemma, the royal party of Prince Harry and Meghan were soon to arrive. As if having caught the scent of a good deed, Nathan set with hound-like intent upon the grounds to fill several bags of litter – some fresh from the hands of nearby onlookers.

Meanwhile, Mickey ascended to reach glass untouched for many moons, whilst Jack made quick work of broad swathes of pane under the keen inspective eye of Aimee. No streak went unnoticed and much work done twice. To provide the final rallying charge, Lucy followed swiftly with paper towels to finish the job.

The fine folks at Star Hub were very appreciative, and the entrance fit for a prince. After a quick tour of the Star Hub and the many services offered (plus some belly-warming tea and coffee), the heralded heroes rode back into the night. Some say they ran on and on, waiting until in desperate need the call goes out again, others say they just went home because it was raining and cold.
