F.IS.H. (Food In School Holidays) is a Norwich Foodbank initiative for Norfolk. For this project during this pandemic Norwich Foodbank has joined with The Henderson Trust, Norwich Helping Hands, &St Elizabeth &St Thomas Church where we were distributing food to those family’s who has signed up through the local schools. On arrival we all collected masks & gloves. Some of us made up individual bags of fresh foods& a activity folder for children. Frozen lasagnas we’re dispensed into large cool bags & taken to the distribution table along with family food box’s. Family’s had 11-1.30 to come and collect their parcels and soon a steady flow of people arrived. At 1.30 the doors were closed and the big COVID clean down began. A very productive morning, and some very appreciative family’s were happy with the work we had done. Wonderful donation of food both fresh and dry goods., carrier bags, colouring books and activity sheets, crayons to keep the children occupied. Same again next week
