Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Andy
Hounslow Central Mosque is becoming a firm favourite with GoodGym Hounslow - we've pulled trees out with our bare hands in freezing conditions, carefully picked buckets full of old slate out from the ground, and tended to the soil to make it the ideal place for flowers to thrive.
One of the side of effects of this is that the weeds have been making the most of this - in the few weeks since our last visit, a thick carpet of leafy weeds have covered the flower beds, burying any flowers trying to get some light.
Andy and Michelle spent a sunny Saturday morning help restore the balance; filling two large black bags with an impressive number of unwanted wild plants, while uncovering the proper residents of the flower bed underneath (including a few very pretty succulents).
A job well done, we left it looking much smarter and ready for another round of planting - no doubt we'll be back!
