Tonights Task was to prepare some garage doors for painting for New Vision Homes - a housing scheme in Woking Borough. After a quick meet and greet we headed off for a 1km warm up run to Walton Court, where the Task was to be done. Wire brushes, scrapers, and white spirit in hand, we set about cleaning and prepping the doors. 25 minutes of hard graft and some interest from the residents and we were done! It was then time to head back into town and do a quick warm up before our fitness session. The question for tonights "circle time" was "name something you have done in your life"! It turns out GoodGym Woking has some very adventurous members. We found out that new member Jo had been White water rafting, Scaled Mount Blanc and had even raced Sled Dogs in Norway! George had climbed a 100ft Tower and Monica had climbed Mount Kenya! Once we were warmed up we headed into the High street to do some partner workouts then ran around the sights of Woking. We ended up at Wheatsheaf common to do some interval training then ran back to stretch and discuss future races people were hoping to do. We ended up running a total of 4.5km, as well as intervals and some body weight exercises thrown in for good measure. Great work tonight guys!! Thanks to Holly for being Back marker tonight and encouraging the new members!

Actually I abseiled down the outside of a 120m tower in Northampton. It claims to be the tallest permanent abseil tower in the world. It was definitely a long way down.
