Report written by Nicky Woodall (she/her)
10 excellent GoodGymmers met for our third and (probably) final (for now) Tuesday evening session at Brixton Road Youth Centre. Once again, the twilight sun shined and made for a very pleasant evening.
Our task was simple, to finish clearing up the outdoor area that we've been working on over the past couple of weeks, to get it ready for the reopening of the centre in September. We split into teams, focussing on different areas, and very soon, our mission was accomplished.
We were chuffed to welcome Nathan and Louisa for their first good deeds this evening. Amazing work guys, and we hope we'll see you again soon.
We also celebrated Steven's 100th good deed, with TWO lots of wings. Frances had made some out of masking tape and we also had the classic GG Lambeth wings from our home place of Papa's Park. Steven celebrated by rescuing lots of worms - what a guy. Great stuff Steven, hope you get your wings t shirt soon and here's to your next 100!
Good job everyone, Sharron from the centre is really grateful for all the hard work!
The youth centre provides a space for young people to hang out, play games and socialise.
