We had the 2nd highest every turnout in Norwich of 27 runners!!!

It was great to see new faces in Louise, Abygail & Laura.

Congratulations to Dan and Laura for both attending 10 GoodGym Group Runs! There are also several other getting close to 10 so this shows what a great group we have hear in Norwich.

Tonight's task saw us on a short 1km each-way run to The Wellbeing Service located in the beautiful Cathedral Close. We were greeted by Steph and she explained what needed doing to enable better use of the community garden for people with mental health issues.

Everyone got stuck in and grabbed the tools they needed. One group were digging up a new area that is going to be used to put decking down. Another group went on a weeding rampage. Sophia & Tim cut the grass with a pair of Shears! That left Graham with the loppers to trim the over hanging tree.

So much got done that we were finished 5 minutes early... more time for a fitness session ;-)

This was the moment I went from Hero to Villain... it was fitness session time (imagine the devil horn emoji inserted here). We did have the stunning location of the Cathedral grounds to do this in. Part A was a 10-minute pairs running relay around the green. Part B was a 10-minute pairs relay circuit around the green that consisted of push-ups, star-jumps (or jumping jacks if you're older haha), squats and the beloved bear crawl. Part C was a 4-minute hollow-hold Tabata workout - it was dark by this point and rumour had it someone put their arm in dog poo... to the amusement or shock of others. I loved how someone then said "it's supposed to be good luck" hahaha.

Part D was at the end of the run back to The Forum, a short sprint finish down Gentleman's Walk. For the 1st 3 seconds I was leading and got excited I might win... but then all the quick lads soon passed me and a very impressive Abygail was right on my heels.

As it had been 2-weeks since our last visit, 12 of us went to the pub afterwards for a beer and some food.

Next week's run takes us on a marine litter pick.
