Report written by Brahma Pochee
GoodGym Newham turned five this week, and we had a clan to celebrate yesterday, doing what we've done for the last half decade, do good and get fit.
Not our usual numbers last night, maybe some got scared off by the unusually high volume of water that is being regurgitated from the clouds. A good rain coat will make you oblivious to precipitation, and able to march on whatever the weather, as it happens, yesterday was a delightful evening for some aerobic two-step. With a sharp and high resolution sky above, crisp fresh air to cleanse the mind and some delightful hues....before darkness enveloped us.
RWQ courtesy of Brad: "What's the favourite present you've ever received?" Scalextric, Rebound remote control car, swimming with dolphins, camel ride in the desert, a bike posing as a tent, teenage mutant hero turtles jumper, a cap (even though it wasn't birthday), a puppy, a kitten....and a green hand towel. We also wished Ruthy Ruth (her stage name) a big happy birthday and Timotei (have you seen the girth of his follicles?) a high five on the Folkestone HM in crashing waves and howling winds.
Th team shuffled to the our task, down a dark and puddle strewn canal. On arrival Paul took us through the tasks - moving and laying huge ton bags of bark chip, emptying and moving a large rotating composter (I want one), moving some old furniture out, and clearing out some packaging. Upon finishing the multiple tasks, Paul ushered everyone into a room for one more 'task'. With three cakes on the table, it quickly transpired we'd been duped, in the best possible way, a congratulatory 5th birthday cake surprise, always the gent and their way of saying thanks. Lovely gesture and a lovely lemon drizzle too.
We stretched off and headed for the pub, part 1 of our party week, part 2 is this Friday, no lycra required, believe there's something called a 'pub crawl' happening, never heard of one. Should be a quality eve, let G know if you're coming.

Hope you all have a fabulous week and weekend.
Make. It. Count
Till next week
