Report written by Michelle
Stephane and I returned to Chiswick allotments to continue helping Hounslow Foodbox with clearing a large plot, kindly donated by Chiswick Horticultural Society, to grow produce for food parcels for users of the Foodbox.
This time we had our secret weapon and I'm not referring to the mattock - a tool which has been wielded at many a task in Hounslow before. I am actually referring to Alan Armstrong chief wheel barrower and rake afficionado.
We were met by Judy who kindly let us into the allotments and Lauren from the Foodbox team who got stuck into the clearing with us.
We spent a productive hour clearing two of the sections of the plot before the heavens opened. Steph's mattock wielding was top draw. Not to be deterred by the wonderful June weather we're having we managed to dig, rake and clear the two sections we set out to clear.
There was just enough time to head over to the wildlife area we previously helped to lay a path and hedgerow with Wild Chiswick.
Pleased with our efforts we headed off to watch the election debate / Bridgerton and dry off.

Amazing progress! Well done you three, so impressive. In a Venn diagram of Bridgerton and the election debate, I wonder what the relation would be. Scandal?
