Rubble without a pause

On a crisp January evening, the majority of us headed over to Wilton Estate, where we had two difficult but rewarding tasks awaiting us. The first team ferried barrow-loads of rubble from a heap at one end of the estate to lay around some planters, getting a huge amount done in the time available.

The problem of the root

For those of us who didn't get into rubble, we took our pick (and spades and forks) and faced the roots of all evil, clearing as many stubborn shrubs from beds in the estate as possible.

Blockbusters

After the task, Cory had some speed work in store for us. We ran along a road, took a left, a sharp left and another left, meeting at the corner to start again (and again). It was a brilliant way to get an intense workout in a short amount of time.

I don't want no shrubs

All the while, Lauren and Jo had run off to complete a separate mission, clearing unwanted shrubbery from the garden of an appreciative local resident.

Piriformis enhancers

We all congregated back at the Arch, where Sarah led us in a warm-down stretch and Cory practised his photography.

Thank you to our man David Misstear for putting this together for us. Great report.

Have a great week and please continue to do small things with great love
