Report written by Helen
Fourteen heroic GoodGymers gathered at Leisureworld for some rainy running this evening. We wished everyone luck for Sunday's Colchester 10k - the Red Thunder tee shirts will be out in force! Do cheer them on, if you're not racing. Then, after a quick warm up under the awning, we headed off towards the circus for our task. No, we weren't going for a spin on the big wheel, but we did take a circular route to the allotment for a change, past the bluebells in Charter Woods, and under the railway tunnel. Although getting steadily soggier, spirits were still high as we reached our destination, and we took up some tools, ready to support Colchester in Bloom. Pam's allotment has a great view over the town, and the diggers, weeders and pot-sorters were rewarded with a beautiful rainbow, and a snippet of sunshine for their efforts. In a short space of time, the allotment looked completely different, and Pam was thrilled to get so much done. Well done to everyone for soldiering through on a rather damp May day, you were brilliant.
Helen1, out.
