After finishing the morning litter picking at Mill Hill Park Acton and saying hi to Mary at Reduce and Recycle Hub that we promoted on our recent group run, Jenni, Sevan and Kash walked to Berrymede Junior School. The gate was already open and Romina welcomed the GoodGymers to a very spring-themed task: cleaning the very familiar shed containing gardening tools and toys.
After removing every single item from the shed, we gave the floor a good sweep and started our sneezing performance. The dust didn't settle till the end of the task, so atchoos and bless yous were frequently thrown into our conversations.
The three sets of shelves we dug out from the depths of the shed needed some good scrubbing and rinsing. Atchoo! As we didn't manage to get the hose working, we ended up using the water from a bucket. A less wasteful option, hurray!
As we started putting back and organising the tools in the shed, we realised there were cobwebs still hanging from the ceiling. We took them off, filling the small space with dust again. Atchoo!
Before the toys and games made their way back to the shed, Jenni, Kash and Romina entertained themselves with some hula hooping. Sevan didn't participate in that activity - he already had fun with shelf lifting earlier on.
After 90 minutes of three GoodGymers' work, the shed was transformed. According to Romina, it looked almost like a room one could live in. Next week you may see GoodGym installing windows and a doorbell ๐
